Tavan Tolgoi Railway — Substation & SCADA System Full Installation

A major multi-phase project to establish complete electrical infrastructure along the railway from Tavan Tolgoi coal mine to Gashuun Sukhait was successfully implemented.

The scope of work included:

• Building construction and 35 kV switchgear equipment supply and installation at Crossing Substations 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6
• Cable duct excavation and installation of 4,200 m of 0.4 kV cable at Crossing 4 substation
• Cable installation from electrical room to 0.4 kV switchboards at Crossings 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6
• Power transformer elevation and earthing resistance reduction works at Gashuun Sukhait substation
• Installation of 5 complete 35/0.4 kV package substations at Tower 2, 5, 7, 8, and 11, with 660 m inter-tower cable installation
• SCADA system supply, installation, testing, and commissioning at Mankhan substation
• SCADA system expansion installation and cabling at Crossing 4 and Towers 8 and 11
• Integration of Mankhan, Zereglee, and Crossing substations into a unified dispatch monitoring system

This multi-phase construction project equipped all substations along the railway line with reliable power supply and a unified control system, significantly improving operational safety and efficiency.
