Ulaanbaatar City Water Supply Enhancement Project

The “Ulaanbaatar City Water Supply Enhancement Project,” funded by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, is a nationally significant infrastructure project aimed at reducing wasteful consumption of clean water in the capital and minimizing environmental impact. The Wastewater Recycling Plant being constructed under this project will reprocess water treated by the new Central Wastewater Treatment Plant and supply it to Ulaanbaatar’s Thermal Power Stations.

Monhorus International LLC is executing the electrical power supply installation and commissioning works for the plant on behalf of MCS Properties LLC. Our scope covers the supply and installation of 10 kV and 0.4 kV distribution switchgear and two 2,000 kVA transformers, from installation through to state commission handover.

Upon completion, the project will increase Ulaanbaatar’s water supply capacity by over 80%, providing sustainable clean water supply to over 650,000 households and 2.4 million residents in the capital 30 years from now, as well as industrial and commercial users.
