Monhorus International LLC served as subcontractor to Envision as general contractor on the Baganuur 50 MW / 200 MWh battery energy storage station project, designed to enhance the reliability of Mongolia’s power system and stabilize electricity supply in the central region. Work commenced in September 2024 and the station was connected to the grid within 3 months. Environmental rehabilitation, landscaping, and flood barrier works were completed in spring 2025, and the facility was fully handed over to Baganuur district and operating organizations.
The station balances daytime and nighttime electricity demand by storing surplus power and supplying it to the system during peak load, providing reliable power supply to at least 25,000 households.
Monhorus International LLC applied its engineering and technical expertise accumulated over many years to deliver the project to the highest standards of quality and accountability. This internationally partnered construction project aligns with Mongolia’s sustainable development goals and makes an important contribution to energy security.
Sincere gratitude is expressed to all engineers, technical staff, subcontractors, and partner companies who participated in this project.
